A 12-year-old Emirati pianist and Person of Determination, Zayed Mohammed Al Zaabi’s remarkable musical journey is an inspiring example of inclusion, perseverance and artistic excellence.
Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, he discovered a passion for music that became a powerful means of self-expression and personal growth. Al Zaabi has developed exceptional piano skills and performed at prominent events, including the Qasr Al Hosn Festival, while furthering his musical abilities through masterclasses in Vienna. He performed at Abu Dhabi Festival’s Festival in the Park in 2024 and took part in autism awareness initiatives organised with the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, including performances at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi and Al Jimi Mall in Al Ain during World Autism Awareness Month. Through these performances, Al Zaabi helps raise awareness about autism while demonstrating the talents and capabilities of People of Determination.
