With a focus on narrative filmmaking and visual storytelling, Ahmad Alariqi often explores psychological tension and moral dilemmas through a cinematic lens. A graduate of the American University of Sharjah’s College of Architecture, Art and Design, he represents a new generation of voices in UAE filmmakers.
His short film Customer Disservice (2024) was selected for the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner, as part of Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation’s Young Filmmakers’ Circle initiative in partnership with Institut français des Emirats arabes unis. Through the programme, he received mentorship and international exposure supporting his early career as a filmmaker. His film Mistake was also featured on regional platforms including Sharjah Film Platform, and he won first place at the Middle East Film & Comic Con short film competition.
