Jumairy

Artist

Based in Dubai, Jumairy is known for his experimental, interdisciplinary practice combining sound, film, digital media and performance to create immersive sensory experiences. His work explores themes of memory, identity and environment through projects including Luciferin Shores, Qumeirah and the immersive installation Echo at Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Jumairy participated in the 2024 SeMA Nanji Residency in Seoul as an artist-in-residence, as well as Proximities at the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA), the landmark exhibition presented by Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation and SeMA as part of Abu Dhabi Festival Abroad. His work A Comma, In Arabic was showcased among 47 UAE-based artists, including 33 Emiratis, in the first and largest exhibition of contemporary visual art from the UAE ever presented in East Asia.
