Ammar Al Attar

Artist

Working across performance, installation, video, sculpture and printmaking, documenting everyday life, architecture and disappearing spaces in the UAE, Ammar Al Attar’s practice transforms ordinary environments into visual archives exploring memory, routine and cultural change.

His work has been acquired by Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) and he also participated in Proximities exhibition at the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA), organised by ADMAF and SeMA as part of Abu Dhabi Festival Abroad. Key works include the Door Series, presented at Proximities, while Silent Residues (2025), his first solo exhibition, marked a major milestone in his career through its exploration of routine, performance and selfhood within changing environments. He has also exhibited at 421 Abu Dhabi, Alserkal Avenue and the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2020.

Through his work, he continues to shape contemporary visual culture in the UAE with a distinctive, research-driven approach to documenting lived experience.
